Update on the Nikon 24-70mm f/2.8G ED-IF AF-S lens

So Nikon has returned my Nikon 24-70mm f/2.8G ED-IF AF-S lens slightly over a week later after I sent it to their Melville location for service. I received the now "fixed" lens on April 24, 2009. After some testing, the lens appears to have been fixed. The auto focus is now working and the lens is no longer making the grinding noise I reported. It still appears to have some difficulty focusing in low light which I find a problem. I will do more testing this weekend and let you know if I find the above still a problem.
